Protector HB-7550
Magnesium is attracting attention as a lightweight material because magnesium is lighter and stronger than aluminum; however, it has a problem about corrosion resistance.
To solve the problem, we have developed a silica-based thin-film coating solution, Protector HB-7550 that can realize high corrosion resistance to magnesium.
Product features, specifications
It is possible to form a silica-based, organic-inorganic type thin film coat. The films are excellent in hardness, transparency and corrosion resistance. Generally, it is hard to ensure high adhesion on magnesium; however, our product can solve the problem about adhesion.
We have developed a new coating solution, Protector HB-7550 that can form thin coats on magnesium. The original metallic feeling of magnesium can be maintained and multi-color can be obtained on magnesium by adding pigments.
